Join our call for Global Justice
Jubilee Australia invites you to join the call for the Australian Government to Act Now for Global Justice. Our government is in a key position to call on other world leaders to live up to promises of addressing poverty and injustice in our world. Promises and commitments such as those agreed to in the Millennium Development Goals and the Monterrey Consensus on Financing for Development. Join us in telling our government we're ready for change and we want them to act. Acting for justice can change our world.
We are collecting signatures on inflatable globes, which will be presented to government representatives in the Week of Global Action against Debt, 12-19 October 2008. Once you order your globe collect as many signatures as you can fit on your globe — friends and peers from your community, school, church or other organisation may like to sign the globe with you. Not only is our petition a simple tool to help raise awareness of social justice issues amongst your friends or group, but it is also a fun way to encourage others to speak out against injustices prevalent in our society.
Register for Action for Global Justice
Order an inflatable globe by completing the form below or contacting the Jubilee office today. The globe is approximately 30cm in diameter, as a guide we suggest you aim to collect at least 50 signatures on your globe. Return the globe to Jubilee Australia by 15 September. You and your friends will then have a voice in lobbying our government during the Week of Global Action against Debt.
