KATJA PHUTARAKSA NEEF - Research and Advocacy Specialist
Katja Phutaraksa Neef is a community advocate and researcher originally from Thailand, who joined Jubilee Australia in May 2026. Her work focuses on Indigenous rights, climate justice and accountability across the Pacific and Asia. She has worked extensively with Banaban and West Papuan communities on advocacy, cultural preservation and storytelling, and previously led regional MEAL and capacity-building work with Habitat for Humanity New Zealand in Samoa, Fiji, and Tonga and disaster response in Bangladesh.
Katja holds a Master of International Development Studies and uses both research and creative practice to amplify community voices and support movements for justice.
