STOP BAROSSA GAS

Along with the massive amounts of pollution the Barossa gas project will emit, the pipeline that will connect the gas field to land will also cut through the Oceanic Shoals Marine Park’s habitat protection zone, destroy the habitats of endangered turtles and cut off access to important local fishing grounds.

Help us stop one of the dirtiest gas projects in the world from going ahead.

REJECT THE MINE, SAVE THE SEPIK

The Save the Sepik campaign is fighting to protect the Sepik River from the Frieda River Mine. We believe that the risk posed by the Frieda River mine is too great and could irreparably devastate the Sepik environment and the communities that live along with it. This video follows the steps of local campaigners who travel the Sepik river to bring awareness and collect the views of the people on the Frieda Mine.

The video was created by Walking Fish production in collaboration with the Save the Sepik campaign, with additional footage sourced from Frederick Ipara. Find out more about the Save the Sepik campaign here.

BOUGAINVILLE: LONG HAN BLONG YUMI

Bougainville: Long Han Blong Yumi (It's in Our Hands) explores the impact that mining has on local communities in Bougainville. After losing 20,000 people in a brutal civil war where the Panguna copper mine was at the core of the conflict, local people set out to prove there are options other than mining on which Bougainville’s future might be built.

This film was released in September 2018, as a companion to our report 'Growing Bougainville's Future'.
